Come find out why locals say Embracing View is the best view property they have ever seen in the Smokies.  Located on the summit of Hatcher Mountain, you can see miles from both the front and back of the house.  Morning sunrises over Cove Mountain and Wears Valley, evening sunsets over Bluff Mountain and the ridges cascading toward the horizon.  You feel solitude here, surrounded by nature, as if you have your own private mountain.  Yet, groceries and the strip in Pigeon Forge are less than 18 minutes away, and you can be inside Great Smoky Mountains National Park in just 12 minutes. All cabins on our street get five star reviews for their views. Embracing View has the same view of Wears Valley plus a second view just as good in the opposite direction!!! It's like a ten star view!  Guests have given Embracing View 50 consecutive 5-star reviews since we opened in September 2017, and the cabin was awarded a Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence.

We chose the name Embracing View because the cabin feels like a warm hug... country charm inside and on the porches, lush landscaping and lots of green around the home, and the gorgeous panoramic views. Guests tell us the best things about the cabin are the beauty of the views and the property, being surrounded by nature, and the location, far from the crowds yet just a short drive to attractions, restaurants, and shopping. If your goal is to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature and the mountains, this is the place!

The best feature of the house is the decks, which are a front row seat to big views all around. The main floor has a large wrap-around deck, and the upper floor has porches facing each view. The views never stop changing from dawn to dusk, with the sunrise and sunset, fog, wisps of smoke, and weather blowing through. One guest said that the upper porch facing the sunrise is the best place in the world they have ever sat and enjoyed a cup of coffee, watching as the fog burns off of the valley floor.

The main floor features the kitchen, dining room, living room, and a master suite (king bed) with attached bath, featuring a whirlpool bathtub with an amazing view. Most every part of the house has a view out a window or door somewhere.

The upper floor has a private bedroom with king bed, a den that is set up as a bedroom (queen bed), and a loft with a sofa bed. The floor sleeps six total and has a central bathroom with shower.

The lower level is a game room with big TV, pool table, foosball table, and arcade to keep the kids (little ones and grown up ones too) busy. One end of this level is set up as a bedroom with adjacent bathroom. This bedroom can be private from the other floors, or you can fold out the two futons in the TV area and sleep four more people. Parents with up to four kids or a group of six kids would enjoy this space.

Three couples can stay in Embracing View and each have their own floor with bedroom and bathroom for complete privacy, a popular option for couples retreats.

There are 5 hi def flat screen TVs: game room (lower), living room and private bedroom (main), private bedroom and den (upper). We have DirecTV with Genie so that you can record sporting events, movies, or shows while you are away and then watch them when you like. Wi-fi also enables you to stay connected and stream content.

We are proud to say that our other cabin, Sensational View, has also received over 50 5-star reviews and has won three consecutive Tripadvisor Certificates of Excellence. We want every family coming to our place to enjoy their stay and their whole vacation, as some the best family times we have enjoyed have been our trips to the Smokies. We will be delighted to talk with you, get to know you, and help you get the most out of your trip!

Area services: Kroger, Publix and IGA supermarkets within 20 minutes. General store just minutes away at the bottom of the mountain. Swimming is available in the summer at Huckleberry Meadows, less than ten minutes away. Everything else you could want is 20-30 minutes away in Pigeon Forge, including restaurants, dinner theaters, mini golf, go karts, golf, and the Pigeon Forge community center.

Parking for four cars is easy, up to six or seven if you squeeze. There is a turnaround area at the top of the driveway to ease getting in and out. The final half mile up to the cabin is narrow and windy, but most guests are quite comfortable with it after driving up and down a couple times. All wheel drive or four wheel drive is recommended in the winter, as weather can be unpredictable.

Gorgeous property!!! Amazing views!

Perfect cabin for our weekend family reunion. Plenty of space to spread out and relax. Everything was clean and comfortable. We honestly didn't even need to leave if we didn't want to. And the views....every window had them!!! The property owners were superb!!! Very friendly and accessible. It was obvious that it was important to them we had a good time! We're talking about coming back next year.

Renters for Life

We've now stayed in both of Jay and Amy's vacation rental homes. After our first stay, we knew there wouldn't be another option that would come close to the quality of the homes as well as amazing attentiveness of the Hopmans. Embracing View has ample amenities, ambiance in spades, and the views (yes plural) OMG! We've decided next time we go, we are staying longer. We found ourselves just enjoying the home and views and didn't feel the need to venture out much. However, the Dads and kids did hit a couple of the nearby mountain coasters and highly enjoyed them. We will return to the Hopman's homes for the rest of our vacationing life.

Cabin was very nice and clean and slept 14 people comfortably. The views were outstanding from all parts of the cabin. Will definitely tells others about it.

Amazing Memories!

Our family stayed at Embracing View July 30-August 3, 2018 and would highly recommend this cabin to other families looking to share quality time together while making new memories! The views were beautiful and were actually made even better when it lightly rained. However, the difference maker for our trip was the relationship we developed with the homeowners, Jay and Amy! They are truly special people who care about sharing their home with others. They went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of- they made terrific recommendations for activities, restaurants and local attractions. We actually were able to meet them during our stay and it was wonderful to thank them in person for all they did to make our trip so special. They care about not only maintaining the cabin but also enhancing the offered amenities, a brand new grill and refrigerator were added just in time for us to enjoy. The beds were comfortable and all pillows and mattresses were covered with protectors. The towels were plush, the table was large enough to accommodate all 9 of us for meals and games. The game room was a huge hit with our children, we had fun trying to beat top scores of prior guests! Embracing Views and Jay and Amy are 5 stars all the way! We are already thinking about when we will be able to go back!

Stunning views and super well maintained property

We had a fabulous stay at Embracing View this past weekend! The property is obviously well cared for and was very, very clean. In fact, of all of the VRBO/Air BNB places we have stayed in the past, this one clearly stands out for being extremely clean. Jay was a pleasure to work with and communicate with and that certainly made the full experience very positive. We had six young children under 7 with us (not all ours! We were 3 different families meeting up for a reunion), and the space was great and felt safe and sturdy. The kids LOVED running laps around the beautiful deck that surrounds the property. The only challenge with having 3 separate families is that one of the upstairs bedrooms is not really private (in terms of noise or visibility). It doesn't have it's own wall/door separate from the loft space, or the main level underneath. This was not a huge problem for us, but did mean that we couldn't really stay up and hang out after the kids went to bed. We were exhausted from all of the activities in the area, but it is important to know. (Also, this might have been clear in the description and I just didn't pay close enough attention!) All in all, it was a fabulous weekend though and we would love to come back. We appreciated all of the tips and ideas and also loved reading the guest book. We are grateful for the beautiful views, fantastic weather, and having the good luck to actually catch Dolly at Dollywood!

Awesome Views!

We stayed in the cabin from Aug. 5 to Aug. 12,,,it was very quiet and the views are really awesome. The cabin was clean and spacious and Jay was great to work with, there was a welcome packet with information which was nice. We are an active family leaving in the mornings coming back in the afternoon and then leaving around supper time and returning again later in the night. We only met one other vehicle on the road during our stay. I was a great spot being in between Pigeon Forge and Townsend, not too far away from the restaurants and attractions, and not too far from the entrance to the mountains.

Perfectly named as "Embracing View." Great mountain views front and back.

We greeted each day with coffee and sunrise on the front deck. The location makes Pigeon Forge, the park and Gatlinburg a short drive with very little traffic at this time of year. The weather didn't always cooperate with our plans, but the sun, rain and wind combined to give us ever changing pictures of the landscape. We closed each day rocking on the back deck and taking pictures of the sunset. The accommodations are absolutely great. The kitchen looks almost new and has all the amenities for any kind of meal preparation. The dining area is roomy with a table that easily sat our troops. A game area in the lower level saved the day when the weather said we were a "no go." The owners thoughtfully sent us a "welcome packet" that was great information on how to get around and even had suggestions on things to do and where to dine in the area. We used that for attractions and dining out. The weather was a bit less than cooperative, but our spirits weren't dampened - it doesn't rain on the decks! We will probably be back hoping to find good weather for exploring the park. When that happens, I won't spend any time looking for a place to stay - we will be right back on the mountain with the Embracing View.

We felt so welcomed and at home at Embracing View from the moment we drove up. Everything we needed for our large family was available at the cabin. The kids loved the wrap around deck, the game room and the jacuzzi tub! The adults marveled at the changing views and appreciated the spacious bedrooms, kitchen, game room and hot tub! I miss our stay there and highly recommended anyone looking for a rewarding stay in the Smokies to book this cabin!!

Outstanding experience with owner. Home and views more beautiful than we could have imagined. Truly. No exaggeration. The pics don’t even capture it, if you can imagine that. The house was well stocked and the beds were absolutely fabulous!! It was close to everything but not too close. I must admit the drive up the mountain to the house was quite unnerving. But being from flat Louisiana, that’s to be expected! We definitely got home before dusk to avoid driving that in the dark. We were a bunch of Chicken Littles. We had 7 adults and 7 children and it was perfect! Again, the owners were outstanding!!! Would definitely come back beyond a doubt!!
